Circle Singers presents its Member Profile. Here periodically we will present some inside "scoop" on the life and times of one of our members. We hope to accomplish two things: First, to give a more human picture of the chorus by showing some of the neat people who participate; Second, to improve personal awareness within the group since we come from such disparate areas of greater Cincinnati.

If you are fortunate enough to attend a Circle Singer Concert you cannot miss seeing Ted Sippel. Ted is not only a strong tenor, he is also large and solid in stature, towering over most of his Circle Singer associates.
A native of Cincinnati, Ted was born here in the Queen City over 60 years ago. He and his wife Sue (A fellow Circle Singer with a strong Soprano voice) have been married for 40 years. They have 2 grown children and 4 grandchildren to lovingly spoil. A true Cincinnatian, Ted attained his BS in Mechanical Engineering from The University Of Cincinnati in 1966. Ted is employed as an Engineer with GE Aviation specializing in the review and approval of systems designed to perform airflow inspection of jet aircraft engine components.
A member of the Circle Singers for 3 years, Ted enjoyed previous singing experiences with Church choirs and other choruses. During this period, one of his most memorable experiences was singing in the “Sounds of Hope” chorus of 200+ voices at a Music Hall fund raiser for Downtown Over the Rhine ministries. As a Circle Singer however, his most memorable experience was singing the National Anthem with the Circle Singers prior to a Cincinnati Reds baseball game on the field at home plate at the Great American Ballpark.
In his spare time Ted enjoys Being Paw-Paw to his grandchildren, reading, computer programming, listening to a variety of music (especially classical.) His Computer programming skills have been put to good use by the Circle Singer community. He personally designed, created, and maintains the Circle Singer Web Site you are currently viewing.
After retirement Ted and Sue plan to do some extensive trailer camping and see the country, especially the far west. From a purely selfish standpoint, his Circle Singer associates all hope Ted and Sue will schedule their camping adventures in the summer months, returning and rejoining us in the fall as each new Circle Singer season begins. As a singer and as a webmaster, Ted’s contributions have been key to the success of the Circle Singers
