Circle Singers presents its Member Profile. Here periodically we will present some inside "scoop" on the life and times of one of our members. We hope to accomplish two things: First, to give a more human picture of the chorus by showing some of the neat people who participate; Second, to improve personal awareness within the group since we come from such disparate areas of greater Cincinnati.

Frank Bruening, sings bass, and has been a member of Circle Singers since 2005, having been recruited by former member, Jackie Donoghue. For the last four years, Frank has served as Treasurer.
On the personal side, Frank has been married to his wife, Jean, since September 2012. This is the second marriage for both as Frank and Jean each were previously widowed. Between them they have 9 children and 18 grandchildren!
Frank is a 1958 graduate of Xavier University with a degree in Business Administration and a major in accounting. His career in accounting included 35 years as Controller for Messer Construction and Maescher Construction. He retired in 2005.
Aside from singing, Frank’s hobbies include golf, bridge, and tending to the Bruenings' garden.
Early experiences in singing were as a choir boy at St. Elizabeth Grade School and in high school with the Purcell Glee Club. He has also been a member of the choirs at St. John’s in Deer Park, Good Shepherd, St. Gertrude, and currently at All Saints Parish.
Most memorable experience with Circle Singers: “Performing at the National Convention of the American Legion at the Duke Energy Center in August 2016”.
Favorite music performed with Circle Singers: “Medleys from Phantom of the Opera, the Sound of Music, and other Broadway musicals”.
What Frank likes best about the Circle Singers-- “The enjoyment of singing with a great group of singers, the friendships formed, and entertaining and personally greeting the audiences”.
