Circle Singers presents its Member Profile. Here periodically we will present some inside "scoop" on the life and times of one of our members. We hope to accomplish two things: First, to give a more human picture of the chorus by showing some of the neat people who participate; Second, to improve personal awareness within the group since we come from such disparate areas of greater Cincinnati.

Watch the interaction of any group and, within a moment or two, you will likely spot the “Project Person.” The Project Person isn’t seeking the spotlight or personal accolades. Rather, enthusiastically taking on any group-sponsored project and seeing it through becomes his/her passion.
Every successful group has at least one Project Person. Within the Circle Singers any activity needing project management expertise will soon be under way with Jackie Donoghue’s guiding and skillful hands. Her successful projects have included numerous fund-raising activities, our annual recruitment drives and contributing to the technical production and distribution of Circle Singers CD "Celebrate" produced in 2006.
A talented member of the Circle Singers for more than seven years, Jackie’s clear alto voice has been heard in over fifty concerts and appearances. Whether the chorus sings the National Anthem at a Red’s Game, performs for senior citizens at various regional retirement homes or sings for civic holiday celebrations, Jackie is a key performer within the group.
A Cincinnati native and retired Teacher/Freelance Writer/ Editor, Jackie earned a BA from Marian College and a MA in English from Xavier University. A teaching veteran, Jackie has taught every grade from first through College. Jackie was a feature writer and regular columnist for WORD MAGAZINE for several years, was a Community Press columnist, saw her byline in various regional periodicals and wrote for the Cincinnati Enquirer. Jackie fondly remembers a time when she sang with a choir of nuns and when she sang with her church choir at the Vatican.
Jackie, now a widow after 24 years of happy marriage, has six stepchildren and a foster son. When not attacking Circle Singer projects, Jackie enjoys theater, reading, socializing, truly funny jokes, volunteer work, photography and the companionship of her Golden Retriever “Ginger.”
