Circle Singers presents its Member Profile. Here periodically we will present some inside "scoop" on the life and times of one of our members. We hope to accomplish two things: First, to give a more human picture of the chorus by showing some of the neat people who participate; Second, to improve personal awareness within the group since we come from such disparate areas of greater Cincinnati.

Carol Bahr has the honor of being the Circle Singer with the most time singing with the group. A Circle Singer for 28 years, Carol also spent over 5 years with the General Electric Glee Club and was on board when the GE Glee Cub evolved into what is now the Cincinnati Circle Singers.
Born in Detroit, Carol’s family moved to Cincinnati area while she was still a youngster. A graduate of Greenhills High School, Carol now resides in Springfield Township with her husband Dale. As a GE employee, Carol worked in the accounting department for many years. Now, Carol and Dale spend the majority of their time on their farm tending to cows and producing vegetables and greens for local markets. In her spare time Carol enjoys quilting and sewing. Clearly, with over 30 years singing with the GE Glee Club and the Circle singers, Carol also really enjoys singing. One of her most memorable occasions was when the GE Glee Club sang with the Cincinnati symphony. She especially enjoys singing with the Circle Singers at local retirement homes.
As if her two decades of continual choir participation were not enough, Carol is also the wardrobe coordinator for the Circle Singers. In addition to creating and sewing our Circle Singer outfits, Carol maintains and distributes all our wardrobe materials and supplies. Thus, Carol’s contribution to the success of the Circle Singers can be seen on numerous levels. No other Circle singer comes even close to Carol in terms of “length of service”. Her clear and strong soprano voice is a heard at almost every Circle Singer concert. Finally, in addition to helping us “Sound Good”, Carol outstanding wardrobe skills ensure we also “LOOK” good.
